Health boss Rousseau resigns

Brian Rousseau has resigned as Chief Executive of Southern District Health Board.

Mr Rousseau's decision to resign was announced this afternoon in a statement.

He moved to Dunedin from Auckland to become CEO of the Otago DHB in 2003 and four years later became head of the both Otago and Southland DHBs.

Last year he was appointed CEO of the Southern District Health Board when the Otago and Southland boards merged.
