One hurt after car rolls in Dunedin

A car overturned in Dunedin this afternoon, leaving one person moderately injured.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said it was called to Mt Cargill Rd at 2.50pm.

A single car was in a ditch upside down, and three fire appliances from Willowbank, Waitati and Dunedin Central were sent to assist.

The person did not need to be extracted from the car but was aided in getting out.

A police spokeswoman said it received a call about a single vehicle crash at 2.58pm, and arrived on scene to an overturned car.

At St John spokesman said one person was moderately injured and taken to Dunedin Hospital.

Fenz and police remained on the scene to assist with cleaning up.
