One injured after car hits pole in Wakari

Power lines are down after a car collided with a power pole in Dunedin earlier today.

The crash happened on Taieri Rd, near Helensburgh Rd, about 11.40am, a police spokesman said.

The sole occupant of the car was believed to have received moderate injuries.

Firefighters and St John ambulance staff are also at the scene.
