Power has been restored to about 200 Kaikorai Valley homes following a power outage tonight.
Delta marketing and communications manager Gary Johnson said a transformer fault occurred at 6pm and Delta had to stop power to hundreds of homes to fix the fault.
He did not know if Delta had received any phone calls about the outage.
