A 63-year-old Dunedin woman was taken to Dunedin Hospital with minor injuries tonight after a collision between her car and another allegedly driven by a 16-year-old.

The collision happened at the intersection of Taieri Rd and Nairn St, in Dunedin, about 6.50pm today.
Police alleged the west-bound Holden driven by the teenager was turned right into Nairn St in front of the woman's east-bound Kia. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
The woman had to be extricated from her vehicle by fire fighters.
The 16-year-old and his 19-year-old passenger were uninjured.
The 16-year-old was referred to Youth Aid, Acting Senior Sergeant Paul McLaughlan said.
