Police have released the name of the person who died in a crash in Okuti Valley, Banks Peninsula over the weekend.
She was 53-year-old Tess (Theresa) Simpkins of Okuti Valley, Little River.
She was one of five people killed on New Zealand roads over the weekend in what was a horror lead up to Christmas.
The crash, which occurred on Saturday, December 22, continues to be investigated.
