An earthquake measuring 4.2 in magnitude has shaken the Marlborough region today.
The quake hit the area at 1.40pm, GNS Science reported.
It was centred 30km southeast of Seddon, and was 30km deep.
The tremor would have been felt in the Wellington region, GNS Science said.
