Police have named the woman killed in a crash near Pleasant Point, north of Timaru, yesterday.
Heather Amy Harris, 53, was driving a 4WD vehicle which collided with a truck at a small bridge.
The accident at 6.30am fell just outside the Queen's Birthday weekend road toll period of nine deaths -- the highest for 13 years.
