Northland police are investigating how a 17-month-old girl received serious injuries at a Whangarei house yesterday.
The child was taken to Whangerei Hospital by ambulance and flown to Auckland's Starship Hospital where she remains in a critical, but stable condition.
Police are speaking with the child's family.
