A fire in an industrial part of the Auckland suburb of Penrose last night is being treated as suspicious.
The fire, initially thought to be at a tyre shop, started before 9pm at a two-storey automotive parts building next door, said Fire Service northern communications shift manager Megan Ruru.
It was extinguished and firefighters left the scene. However, two fire service investigators were now looking over the scene and because it was deemed as suspicious police were now also involved.
