Dunedin girl wins dance award

Lucia Morey (age 7) from Dunedin won the Petite (age 7 & 8) Tap Dancing Scholarship Award at the NZ Dance Awards in Christchurch over the long weekend.

She also won the 'Future Musical Theatre Star' Special Award Trophy.

She was competing against NZ's best dancers and came away with the award.

Lucia has been dancing since she was 4 and has also been cast in Taieri's 50th Anniversary Show 'Ovation'.
