Within living memory

Several shop fronts in George St, Dunedin, in September 1985, became the set for scenes for a Kaikorai Valley High School entry in the Television New Zealand Spot On video competition.

The six-minute video, called David, tells the story of a boy rejected by school, family and friends who turns to glue-sniffing to solve his problems.

Script writer of the video, Sharon Lippert, centre, discusses lines with Ben Doudney (left), and Justin McLean. 

The two are form IV pupils at Logan Park High School.
