A boil water notice issued for Omakau and Ophir on Monday has been lifted.
The Central Otago District Council issued the notice owing to a problem at the Omakau water treatment plant.
Water tankers were made available to residents.
Following successful network flushing and clear water sampling results, the CODC on Wednesday said it had lifted the notice.
Contractors would remove the boil water notice signage and water tankers on Wednesday afternoon.
