The second Gently Used Clothing Sale was held at St Peter's Church on Saturday, with donations going to Happiness House charity.

Organiser Rachael Clark said the group of seven friends "came together with the idea because we were always giving everything away".

"We decided to hold the sale because it's a fun day and to raise money for charity.

"We always end up buying each other's stuff though," she said.

She was really pleased with the number of buyers, who each gave a gold coin donation.

A share of each seller's profits would also go to Happiness House, Ms Clark said.

Donations were on a par with last year, when about $1000 was raised, she said.
