The free wireless Internet service offered in the main Lawrence business centre is now available.
Internet provider Scorch Communications installed a transmitter near the township earlier this week and two nano-stations - which relay the signal between two points in the town's mainstreet - passed their initial testing at the same time.
Lawrence resident Frank Buddingh, who helped initiate the scheme, said yesterday the free service was now working and available to all visitors and locals in the main street area.
