A recruitment drive for more than 400 volunteers has been launched by the organisers of this year's Winter Games New Zealand.
The games, said to be one of the top five winter sports events in the world, take place in Queenstown, Wanaka and Naseby from August 15 to 25.
A variety of sport and non-sport related volunteer roles need to be filled at venues on and off the mountain, including course marshals, timing, ticketing and media assistants, administrators, drivers and hospitality roles. Volunteers will be given specific training, transport, food and drinks.
Winter Games NZ will hold information nights on Tuesday July 2 and Wednesday July 3 in Wanaka and Queenstown respectively. More information is available at: www.wintergamesnz.com.
