Live plan discussion

The Waitaki District Council's long-term budget and rates projections will get live television exposure for the first time on Oamaru station 45 South tomorrow.

Waitaki residents are being invited to take part in the live televised discussion with councillors on the draft 2012-22 long-term plan from 7.30pm onwards.

Council policy manager Fraser Liggett said the draft long-term plan had already created considerable interest within the community.

Anyone wanting to take part should meet at 45 South in the Star and Garter Hotel building in Itchen St by 7pm tomorrow.

The broadcast will be on 45 South's analogue channel, 41, and repeated on its digital channel, 34, on Saturday at 7pm.
