Man flown to hospital after North Otago crash

A man is in Dunedin Hospital following a serious crash in North Otago last night.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash in Kurow-Duntroon Rd, in the Waitaki Valley, at 8pm.

A police spokesman said the car had flipped near a 50km roadwork area.

St John said it treated one patient at the scene, who  was in a moderate condition.

A police spokeswoman said the road was closed at the time and the serious crash unit notified.

Police inquiries are continuing.
