The Upper Clutha Agricultural and Pastoral Society has announced an annual $1000 education scholarship for members and their dependants.
The scholarship is to assist the recipient in studies at an education institution in any subject related to a facet of the society's annual show, president Phill Hunt said.
Full details are available from the society (P O Box 79, Wanaka) and applications close on November 30.
Mr Hunt made the announcement at the society's annual meeting at Albert Town on Thursday night.
The society also elected a new executive.
Mr Hunt is the president, taking over from immediate past president Bill McCarthy.
The new vice-president is Fe Howie.
Beau Trevathan is the junior vice-president, Jane Stalker is the co-ordinator of the 2009 show, Bronwyn Jones is the treasurer and Sue Aspinall is the minutes secretary.
