Applications lodged

The owners of Queenstown-based White Shadows Country Inn have applied for resource consent to build a 1000sq m residential property on the western side of Hunter Rd.

In the resource consent application, dated September 22, White Shadows Ltd seeks approval to identify a residential building platform at 56 Hunter Rd and to undertake associated earthworks and landscaping.

The subject site is about 2.2 hectares and access would be via the White Shadows Country Inn driveway. White Shadows Ltd already owns the land.

Submissions close on October 20.

• A resource consent application has been lodged with the QLDC to subdivide a section at 132 Tucker Beach Rd .

Robert Good is seeking approval to subdivide the area into two allotments and identify a 973sq m residential building platform on lot 2.

The proposed subdivision breaches an internal boundary, so further consent is also being sought for land use consent.

The subject site is zoned rural lifestyle under the District Plan, which states the purpose of the zone is: "... to provide for low density residential opportunities as an alternative to the suburban living areas of the district". Submissions close on October 20.
