Architect wins national award

A Queenstown architect won national honours at the Architectural Designer New Zealand-Resene Design Awards 2011.

More than 100 entries were received nationwide.

Six designs won all nine awards.

Remarkable Architectural Design's Matthew White was named joint winner in the Residential Additions and Alterations category.

Winning the Residential New Home up to 250sq m category was a linear design by Richard Wilden, of Richard Wilden Design, in Dunedin.

The Supreme Award was won by Christchurch architect Cymon Allfrey, of Cymon Allfrey Architects, for his Leinster House.

Leinster House also won the Residential Architectural Interiors award and the Residential New Home over 250sq m.
