Local knowledge again gave the winning edge during the second round of the Wanaka FIS tech-racing series at Treble Cone last weekend.
Treble Cone Racing Academy skier Adam Barwood, of Queenstown, won the Wanaka race series giant slalom races.
Barwood won the giant slalom race at Treble Cone on Friday, then finished second in the slalom on Saturday.
He had also won the giant slalom at Cardrona.
Cardrona high performance skier Lucie Tait-Jamieson, of Auckland, added the Treble Cone giant slalom title to her earlier slalom and giant slalom victories at Cardrona last week.
New Zealand junior development skier Willis Feasey was fourth in the Treble Cone giant slalom on Friday and fifth at Cardrona on Thursday.
