Willmott Tables owners Chris and Julie Willmott (pictured) have settled in Queenstown and established a showroom for their bespoke handmade furniture, following 32 years of operation in Australia.
The couple, founders of Willmott Collection, have opened in New Zealand as Willmott Tables, setting up a showroom on Repco Boulevard.
Mr Willmott, a master cabinetmaker, makes the high-end dining and coffee tables, consoles and chairs by hand and, in a commitment to the New Zealand market, had been investigating ''cleaner'' lines and using recycled timber, such as rimu.
The Australian business has been taken over by their children Daniel and Lisa.
The showroom is open by appointment only.
