Cardrona Alpine Resort announced its "early bird" ski pass prices yesterday, and Wanaka skiers, unlike those at Queenstown, will not face a $100 price increase for their passes.
Cardrona's early bird season passes will cost $560 for adults, a rise of $20 from 2009.
A loyalty deal will give 2009 season pass holders a $20 discount off the full price.
NZSki.com, which operates Queenstown skifields Coronet Peak and the Remarkables, has hiked season passes by $100 putting the rise down to increased costs, such as ACC levies.
Cardrona marketing and sales manager Nadia Ellis said the 2010 prices were "good value", despite a significant increase in operating costs and a $3 million investment in expanding the skifield's terrain.
Day lift passes will be priced at $89 for adults and $44 for children.
The early bird offer runs until March 16.
