A large multinational company is bringing up to 500 people to Queenstown from Asia for a conference this weekend.
It is the second large multinational conference in the resort this year after Amway brought 300 people to Millbrook in January.
Destination Queenstown chief executive Tony Everitt said the conference and incentives market was "very lucrative" for the Queenstown economy.
"The corporate market . . . isn't seasonally dependent, so we are putting a lot of effort into growing the sector," he said.
The Queenstown Convention Bureau is a division of Destination Queenstown, which focuses on encouraging conference and incentive travel to the resort.
It provides information about the resort to professional conference organisers.
"Queenstown is an exciting conference and incentives destination for business travellers and [that business] is a great revenue booster for the town, especially in our shoulder seasons," he said.
The resort appealed because of its exciting group activities, high-quality accommodation, conference venues and international airport, he said.
