Wanaka's Passion 4 Fashion show this year will double as a fund-raiser for the 2009 Wanakafest after funding shortages forced the cancellation of the spring festival.
Wanakafest chairwoman Janice Hughes said funds raised from the fashion show would help ensure Wanakafest would take place next year.
"Passion 4 Fashion is truly a local event and this year people will also be supporting a good community cause [Wanakafest]," she said.
Passion 4 Fashion will be held at the Lake Wanaka Centre on Friday, October 3.
