A British filmmaker will begin to shoot footage on Pisa Range soon for his upcoming film Ice, location scout David Walker, of Auckland, confirmed yesterday.
Further details about the film and filmmaker were unavailable yesterday.
Mr Walker had been negotiating with the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground about the film location.
No resource consent applications for film set construction on the Pisa Range appear to have been lodged with the Queenstown Lakes District Council, according to Lakes Environmental's Wanaka planning team leader Christian Martin.
