A nationwide biodiesel-fuelled road show, organised by the Otago Polytechnic Centre for Sustainable Practice and supported by Biodiesel New Zealand and Queenstown's Nomad Safaris and Ziptrek Ecotours, will be launched in Auckland on Saturday.
It will visit Queenstown on November 5 and finish in Dunedin on November 9.
Otago Polytechnic Centre for Sustainable Practice course manager Steve Henry said the show aimed to deliver a clear message that sustainable practice increasingly equalled success.
The road show would also promote a new qualification, designed so people in full employment could get credit for the work they did "embedding sustainable practice anywhere in New Zealand".
The polytechnic had created two new qualifications - a Certificate in Sustainable Practice (Level 5) and a Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Practice (Level 7) - to recognise work being done to build practical experience in sustainability.
The graduate diploma, scheduled to begin in February, would be based in Wanaka and was expected to attract Southern region and distance students.
