Women's group means business

Arrowtown businesswomen have joined forces to network and support each other through the Arrowtown Business Women's Group.

Organiser Julie Hughes said a the large number of women working from home-based offices in the town could benefit from meeting others in similar situations.

The first networking meeting will be a Pink Ribbon Breakfast next Wednesday which will raise money for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mrs Hughes said the event would cost $20 per person, half of which would be given to the NZBCF.

Subsequent meetings would vary from breakfast and coffee mornings to after-work drinks, looking to promote different businesses and women in the town by showcasing what they did.

Mrs Hughes said it was free to join the group, which would most likely meet on the third Wednesday of each month.

• Anyone wanting to attend the Pink Ribbon Breakfast at Bonjour Cafe, Ramshaw Lane, on May 21 can reserve a spot by emailing arrowtownbusinesswomen@gmail.com.
