A 29-year-old Australian who told police he had taken drugs was arrested after a commotion at an Indian restaurant in Queenstown yesterday.
Sergeant Tracy Haggart, of Queenstown, said police were called at 6.50pm after the man, who lives in Queenstown, allegedly spat and banged on the window of the Boliwood Restaurant in Shotover St.
"He walked out without paying and urinated in the street."
Sgt Haggart said the man was acting aggressively and told police he had taken drugs.
St John members also attended the incident.
He will appear in the Queenstown District Court on January 30, charged with disorderly behaviour.
