Some of New Zealand's top designers will be showcasing their collections this week in Queenstown, simultaneously raising money for breast cancer research.

The inaugural Fashion for a Cure show was held in the resort last year and raised over $60,000 for Breast Cancer Cure, New Zealand's only not-for-profit organisation set up just to support breast cancer research, aiming to find a cure by 2018.

The Queenstown event is on Thursday night at the Heliworks hangar in Frankton, hosted by media personality Petra Bagust and will showcase collections from Coop, Knuefermann, Moochi, Andrea Moore, Storm, Trelise Cooper, Working Style and Zambesi, along with a silent auction and live auction.

Live auction items include a dresses from Andrea Moore and Zambesi; a helicopter picnic package, glacier skiing, a Fiji travel package, and four nights' accommodation in Samoa.

Also going under the hammer are four tickets to Justin Bieber's Sydney concert in March.

The value of several items has been listed as ''priceless'', including a Bruce Springsteen-signed Fender guitar and a framed Rugby World Cup 2015 jersey autographed by former All Black captain Richie McCaw;
