The first 27 of the 300-plus apartments in the Te Pa Tahuna development on the former Wakatipu High School site in Queenstown went up for sale yesterday.
Ten of the apartments are available only for buyers qualifying for KiwiBuild.
Priced at up to $650,000, they are expected to be built by the end of next year.
The first stage of the Ngai Tahu Property development is a three-level, walk-up building that includes live-work units with a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment at the rear and an area suitable for a small business facing Gorge Rd.
Downer began ground works on the 4ha site in January.
