Motorcyclist hurt in collision

A motorcyclist  received minor injuries after colliding with a car on a winding Queenstown road yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the Queenstown-Glenorchy road at 11.46am.

The middle-aged man was responsive and able to stand up and talk to paramedics and firefighters at the scene before being placed on a stretcher and transferred to Lakes District Hospital.

There was damage to the right rear passenger door of a black Volkswagen Passat, which was in a  nearby ditch.
