Art South Otago invites entries for exhibition

Entries have opened for South Otago's leading art awards. Art South Otago, formerly the South Otago Art Society, is staging its annual exhibition and TrustPower art awards next month.

Spokeswoman Colleen Niovara-Dave said artists from around Otago could enter the awards, which have new sponsors, including the Otago Daily Times , which is sponsoring the Capturing Otago section for $500.

More than $2000 in prize money will be awarded in total.

All work entered must be original and the sole work of the artist.

Other entry conditions apply.

Entries close on November 18 and the group must receive all entries sent by courier by November 26, and local entries by the next day.

The grand opening and award presentations will be held at the South Otago Creative Arts Centre on Tuesday, December 2, at 7.30pm.

Entry forms are available from Art Zone and the Art Station in Dunedin, and the Rosebank Gallery in Balclutha.
