Titri Rd near Waihola will remain closed to the public for at least another week as several landslips brought on by the July deluge and floods make it unsafe to drive on.

Earlier in the week, Clutha District Council service delivery operations manager Paul Jamison said there were "numerous" washouts, culvert repairs and slips to remove in the Clutha District.

Titri Rd  remained closed to the public, as it had 11 slips over a 2km area.

It was the last road in the district  still closed following the flooding last month.

A council spokeswoman said contractors were sourcing an extra roading crew to work on Titri Rd.

"They’ll start as soon as they can and once they start, it is estimated it will take a week to clear."

While the road was closed to the public, homeowners could still access their properties.

Recovery work was still "ticking away" and support was available for those affected.

The next meeting for the recovery group was scheduled for  Monday.

The boil-water notice for the Richardson North Rural Water Scheme and those in the Whitelea Rd scheme were lifted earlier in the week, as were the conserve water notices for Tapanui and Milton.
