Seriously good holiday fun

School holidays mean fun and games at the Invercargill Public Library for 5-year-old Bren Hendren.

The youngster was one of those participating at the school holiday programme yesterday.

His mother, Shannon, said she wanted to spend the day out with him, before he started school this year.

"Bren likes the games and his mum getting books out," she said.

Although he did not know what kind of bird it was, Bren coloured-in his picture to match his mother’s.

Library learning connections co-ordinator Lindsay King said the programme had been steady, and included activities such as big blocks, colouring-in, games and more. The programme would continue until the end of the holidays, he said.
