SH94 reopens after truck and trailer crash

Part of State Highway 94 in Southland has reopened again after a crash involving a truck and trailer.

Police said they were called to the Te Anau-Mossburn Highway about 1.30pm on Monday, following reports of a truck and trailer which had rolled between Blackmount-Redcliff Rd and Lagoon Creek Rd.

It was understood there was only one person involved in the incident and no injuries.

Fire and Emergency crews were also called to assist at the scene. A crane was used to help clear the road.

The truck had blocked the highway for several hours and a detour taking an hour for road users was in place.

However, the New Zealand Transport Agency advised that the road was open again by 8pm.
