Stuck driver logs 'staggering' breath test

A female driver recorded a ''staggering'' breath test after she got her vehicle stuck in a ditch at Wanaka at the weekend.

The incident occurred while she was trying to drive on a public walking track near Mount Iron.

Constable Aubury Martin, of Wanaka, said an officer noticed the woman as she was trying to remove her car from a ditch.

The woman was processed for drink driving, recording a ‘‘staggering’’ breath test of 966mcg, Const Martin said.

‘‘She was definitely not in a state to drive.’’
