Otago produced a top-drawer performance to regain the Paterson Trophy in Dunedin at the weekend.

Player of the tournament Daniel Sinclair led the way as Otago took the indoor bowls supremacy back from Southland.

Sinclair had 13.5 wins (85.5 ends) over the three-day event.

Southland bowlers Stephen Langley and Brian Hotton each finished with 13.5 wins and 78.5 ends.

David Webb was Otago’s next best with 12.5 wins.

Otago finished top of the table on 137 points.

Southland was second on 129.5 points, followed by South Canterbury (104), South Otago (70.5), Central Otago (65) and North Otago (34).
