The second day of the one-off test between the Black Caps and Afghanistan in the Indian city of Noida was called off at 9.30 (NZ time) last night.
The outfield was never deemed fit to play on despite several attempts to dry the surface. The ground staff cut a portion of the grass from the net-practice area, and had brought that on to the ground. Many electrical fans were also brought in and kept face-down to dry the spot.
The first day was called off for the same reason.
