Otago United is set for a name change.
The national league organisation has decided a ''rebrand'' is necessary to reflect the fact the team represents the whole Footballsouth area, including Southland.
It is about to embark on a promotion to decide on a new name for the team.
Members of the community will be able to submit suggestions through Facebook, and there will then be a vote on the leading contenders. A new name could be unveiled by the end of next month.
