College led 16-14 at the first break and steadily extended their advantage throughout the game, heading into halftime up 32-27.
Ella Mackenzie was outstanding in the shooting circle, nailing all 16 of her attempts at goal for a perfect 100% shooting accuracy at goal attack.
Brenna Lyons was equally impressive, converting 100% of her shots at goal shoot.
By the third quarter, College had widened the gap to 51–37, and they maintained control through to the final whistle.
Defensively, the pairing of Maddie Tinnock and Holly McRae proved crucial in disrupting the Magpies’ attacking flow, helping to stifle scoring chances and maintain College’s momentum.
Despite the scoreboard, the Magpies’ defensive unit worked tirelessly. Georgia Cournane and Rebecca Mace applied relentless pressure throughout the game, challenging every pass and forcing College to work hard for their shooting opportunities.
In other round 12 action, Physed A powered past the South Pac Titans Tāiko with a commanding 68-41 victory, while University-Albion A delivered a clinical performance to defeat their Uni-Albion B counterparts 59-31.
