Geoff and Jude Knight, Roxburgh
LAST SEASON
300 starts, 22 wins, $150,885
``We'd describe it as the most frustrating season we've had. We had an illness that went through the stable in the spring, then we had a couple of really nice horses that went sore. It was a disappointment, but we ended up with 22 wins, so the way it all went, it wasn't too bad.
THIS SEASON
``We are cutting back a little bit. We've had those big teams in the past of up to 40 horses in work, and it's too much. At our stage in life, we don't want to be under all that pressure - taking 13 horses to the races isn't a hell of a lot of fun, so we've cut down and we're going to work between 25 and 28 horses, so we're just looking for quality.
2YR-OLDS TO WATCH
``I couldn't name one at the moment because they're all going through their paces now. Hopefully out of the bunch we've got of about a dozen 2yr-olds, we'll find something that is good enough to race.
3YR-OLDS TO WATCH
``They're a little bit the same - we've got some that are a month away from qualifying, but once again, they've got to take the next step up. There are some nice ones amongst them. Jude's got one called Skylla [Sportswriter-Undue Risk]. She really likes her, and there's one there out of Liberty Of London [called Statue Of Liberty], and is a half to Trojan. But you're probably going to see her more after Christmas, because she's quite a big filly.
HORSES TO FOLLOW
``Zenmach is back strong, working now, and he looks like a bull. We got to the bottom of his problems last year and after all that, it was really just the length of time he was in work. He is back and looking bold so we're really big on him. Seduce Me is ready to bowl out as well.''
