Former Taupo snowboarder Rebecca Sinclair (18) won two junior national snowboarding titles on the second day of the Junior Freeski and Snowboard Nationals at Cardrona Alpine Resort yesterday.

Sinclair, whose family has relocated to Wanaka, won the U19 girls boarder cross race in the morning, before returning in the afternoon to also claim the slopestyle title with a dominant aerial display on her snowboard.

Queenstown freeskier Matt Johnston (19) won the junior male big mountain competition.

Wanaka snowboarder Benji Sutherland (18) continued his winning giant slalom form from Tuesday's competition and added the U19 boarder cross title to his collection.

The U19 girls big mountain winner, Mikey Austin (16), of Wanaka, qualified in top spot for the freeski slopestyle finals, scheduled for today, while Hugo Miler, of Christchurch, qualified top in the boys' competition.

Jake Benjamin Mills (17), of Hamilton, qualified first in the snowboarding slopestyle and will try to match Sinclair's winning ways in the boys' finals of the competition today.
