New Zealand's emerging men tennis players finished the week with strong performances on ITF tournaments in Australia.
Oliver 'Mikal' Statham made the doubles final yesterday at the ITF event in Traralgon with his partner Jared Easton before losing 6-3 6-4 to Australian pair Dane Propoggia and Matt Reid.
At the same tournament, Adam Thompson reached the quarterfinals of the singles, only to be ousted 6-2 6-3 by Kaden Hensel of Australia.
Marcus Daniell, still officially a junior player, punched way above his weight to progress to the quarterfinals of an ITF tournament in France, eventually succumbing 6-4 6-7 (3) 6-1 to third seed Guillermo Alcade of Spain.
