Four-time America's Cup winner Simon Daubney has been banned for two years after testing positive for cocaine.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld an appeal by the World Anti-Doping Agency, which asked for the 49-year-old New Zealander to be suspended. Cup officials had originally cleared him.
Daubney tested positive before racing began in last year's America's Cup. His Swiss-based Alinghi team went on to beat Team New Zealand 5-2 to win the trophy.
Daubney denied knowingly taking the drug. The Swiss Olympic Association and International Sailing Federation backed him.
Alinghi's victory is not affected.
