A truck and ute collided on a busy Christchurch road this morning leaving two people with moderate injuries.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash on Main South Rd in Islington, near the Z Templeton service station, at 7.23am on Monday.
A St John ambulance spokesman said both patients were taken to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said no one was trapped in the vehciles.
Fire crews provided traffic control at the scene and cleaned up diesel on the road as a result of the crash.
