Vibrant flavours, festive fun and fantastic performances promise a perfect afternoon of shared celebration.

The Eid Al Adha Multicultural Festival 2026 is set to be held on Monday at the Edgar Centre.

Organised by the Pakistani Community of Otago, the festival will bring together families, community groups, performers and stallholders for an afternoon of culture, connection, food, music and unity.

A range of stalls will offer food, clothing, accessories and henna tattoos.

Children can enjoy face painting, a bouncy castle and free gifts.

They can enter an art competition and an Eid quiz on the day and can also register in advance to participate in a short story contest or lantern-making event by emailing

pa.otago@gmail.com.

Live music and multicultural performances will feature the Chinese, Japanese, Pakistani, Indian, African and Arab communities.

Pakistani Community of Otago president Anam Nawaz said the free event was open to all and was an opportunity to celebrate Eid Al Adha while sharing the richness of Dunedin’s diverse community.
