The man accused of murder following a double shooting in the West Coast town of Hokitika has been further remanded for a psychiatric assessment.
The 41-year-old man, who has name suppression, is being held in custody but did not appear in Greymouth District Court today.
He faces one charge of murder after retired farmer Frank Schist, 86, and his grandson Andrew Hutchison, 23, were found dead in the Fitzherbert St home in Hokitika last Tuesday.
A second charge of murder, which was expected to be laid today, is now expected when he makes his next appearance on April 27.
