Police remain on the hunt for Ross Douglas Bremner in the wake of attacks that left his mother dead and father in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital.

Officers, including the armed offenders squad, have been searching the Otorohanga area for the 34-year-old since the attack on Tuesday evening at the Cruden Ave house in the South Waikato township.
This morning, Waikato Hospital reported that his 64-year-old father, Keith Bremner, understood to have suffered knife wounds in the incident, was in a critical condition.
The body of his 60-year-old mother, Clare Bremner, was removed from the property yesterday.
In a statement released this morning, Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson said the search was concentrated on Otorohanga, and urged anyone who saw Mr Bremner to contact police immediately.
NZME has confirmed that Ross Bremner was being treated by mental health and addiction services at the time of the attacks, and last had a period of inpatient care in 2013. He had been living in the community for the past three years.
"He is a person of interest in our inquiry,'' Det Snr Sgt Patterson said. "We would appreciate any information on the whereabouts of Ross Bremner.''
Police also appealed for sightings of a 2003 model Holden Vectra, registration BGP561, which Mr Bremner may have used.
A scene examination of the house was continuing, while a post-mortem examination of Clare Bremner was expected to begin Auckland today.
